"Ice Cream Genius" is the first and to date only solo album by Marillion frontman Steve Hogarth. To mark Steve Hogarth’s 70th birthday, ‘Ice Cream Genius’ returns in its most complete form to date. Originally released in 1997, the album was Hogarth’s first solo studio work outside of Marillion, a deeply personal, experimental and intimate record that has grown into a cult favourite over the years.

At the centre of the reissue is the 3CD+Blu-ray Mediabook, the most expansive presentation of ‘Ice Cream Genius’ ever assembled. The deluxe edition of 2026 offers the most comprehensive insight into "Ice Cream Genius" and the H Band, with over 11 hours of material, the majority of which is previously unreleased. It traces the genesis of the album: from the initial ideas, songwriting, demos and recording sessions to the final production. In addition to the studio album on CD 1, CDs 2 and 3 contain a complete live recording of a concert that H played with his band at Dingwalls on August 9, 2000.

The Blu-ray includes an album documentary, numerous demos and studio session versions as well as three further live shows. These shed light on the development of the H Band between 1997 and 2003.
