Frank Zappa: Zoot Allures 50th Anniversary (5 CD + Audio) [Blu-ray]

A 50th-anniversary box set celebrating the 1976 masterpiece, which was created at a turning point in Zappa’s career and stands out even within his entire body of work! This deluxe edition contains a total of 73 tracks, including a previously unreleased early version of the album and a complete, previously unreleased live recording from the same period. The set consists of five CDs, a Blu-ray (audio only), a 44-page English booklet, and a Japanese booklet.

The English booklet features an essay by Joe Travers, curator of the Zappa family’s tape archive, as well as notes on the contents of each CD, liner notes by music journalist Jason Pettigrew, an essay by Michael Braunstein, the sound engineer for the original album, and numerous rare photos. (Japanese edition only) Includes a complete Japanese translation of the English liner notes, song lyrics and their Japanese translations, and the SHM-CD format.
