AIX Records 3D Music Album Demo & Calibration Disc [Blu-ray 3D]

General Information
The AIX Records 3D Music Album Demo and Calibration Disc is formatted as a Blu-ray 3D disc. It is the second music 3D Blu-ray disc ever produced and contains a variety of 3D content taken from our sessions back in June and some footage shot in August using the same Panasonic 3D camera. There is a 10 minute 3D survey of southern California over our recording of the Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 and a 6 minute introduction in 3D presented by AIX founder and president Mark Waldrep..

About the Recording Approach
The recordings on this BD 3D disc are NOT attempts to "document" a live recording of varioius groups but instead an exploration of the creative process of making and recording music on 3D video and using high-resolution digital audio recording equipment. AIX Records uses no EQ, dynamics processing or artificial reverberation...everything you hear is as the musicians played it. Both "audience" and "stage" 5.1 mixes and a PCM 96/24 bit stereo mix are included on the disc on the DVD-Video side. However, it is the 96 kHz/24 bit tracks encoded with Dolby TrueHD that elevates the listening experience well beyond a traditional CD or even a live event. You can chose to listen from the middle of ensemble and hear the sound of the instruments coming from all directions or place yourself in the "best seat in the house". The dynamic range and fidelity offered by the 96 kHz/24 Bit source recording makes this recording come to life and the 3D video brings the experience as close as ever to a personal private performance.

About the Disc
This is a Blu-ray 3D disc with the performance presented in 16:9 - 1280 x 720p pixel HD Video. The audio is available in 5.1 "Stage", 5.1 "Audience" and 96/24 PCM stereo. It is compatible with 3D players and 3D TVs as well as 2D setups.
