US President Joe Biden has acknowledged Tesla's leadership role as an American electric vehicle manufacturer. Biden's Build Back Better bill includes a $12,500 tax credit for those who purchase electric vehicles. But EVs must be produced in the United States with union workers to qualify. This bill was passed by the House of Representatives. But the Senate did not pass.Biden on Wednesday also pointed to the party's infrastructure law that combines $7.5 billion to create a national network of EV chargers along highways.
